If you were offered twenty million euro to have your DNA manipulated to be compatible with a ship, and on which you would travel to outer space for a total of ten years, would you take it? This short story is spellbinding. Worth every minute of reading.

There is a blast from the past that is supposed to be dead but isn't, and somehow the past has especially sought out Elizabeth. Only she can help. Also, there are some diamonds worth $20 Million involved.
Americanah
Ifemelu goes to America to study and work, leaving her love, Obinze, in Nigeria. Once she gets to America, life takes a turn. From trying to find work, making friends, meeting other Africans, to finding herself, this book is a richly developed, funny, and relatable.
The Gilda Stories
Vampires of a different kind; they have a sense of purpose, a life and hope-filled mission. This page turner is worth the reader’s time.
How To Love A Jamaican
A collection of stories exploring home and belonging, identity, self discovery, love and loss. I recommend the audio book.
Angela’s Ashes
A story of life: there is pain, indescribable loss, disillusionment, and hope. A story of resilience. A story told with exceptional skill. Worth reading, and Pulitzer worthy.
Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell
Will English magic return to England? Can two magicians work together or will one’s overbearing, self-regarding notions get in the way of what is possible? This is one of the best books I have read in a while.
